Jason was born in Utah and took to sculpture at a very young age. He started working at a bronze foundry after high school and soon began showing bronze figures and dancers in galleries and completing several public sculptures, including a downhill skier monument for the 2002 Olympics. After going back to school and completing a BFA at UVU and an MFA at USU, he teaches part time while pursuing his art as a stone carver.
